Child Guidance Centre Inaugurated at Sri R.L. Jalappa Hospital

Sri R.L. Jalappa Hospital and Research Centre, in association with Sri Devaraj Urs Medical College, is proud to announce the inauguration of a dedicated Child Guidance Centre aimed at providing comprehensive mental health care for children.
The centre was formally inaugurated on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, by the Honorable Chancellor of Sri Devaraj Urs Academy of Higher Education and Research, Shri G.H. Nagaraja. The event was conducted with the blessings of the late Shri R.L. Jalappa.

About the Centre The new Child Guidance Centre functions under the Department of Psychiatry and is committed to improving the mental health of children across the Kolar district. The facility is designed to provide quality, science-based, and compassionate care for children and adolescents.

Meet the Specialists The Child Guidance Centre offers expert clinical care and counselling provided by Dr. Purushotham A., a dedicated Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist. He will be responsible for delivering specialized treatment and consultation services at the centre.
