Jalappa Hospital & Research Centre is committed to advancing the vision of the organisation by institutionalising a structured quality management system through coordinated implementation, systematic monitoring, and continuous improvement of hospital-wide quality initiatives. In collaboration with departmental Quality Champions and multidisciplinary teams, it promotes patient safety, employee safety, professional accountability, and excellence in clinical care. Quality assurance activities are implemented through a predefined calendar of events, regular committee meetings, departmental reviews, and systematic compliance monitoring. Identified gaps are addressed through appropriate corrective and preventive actions to strengthen clinical effectiveness and patient outcomes. Capacity building is prioritised through department-specific training programmes on clinical protocols, emergency response and safety codes, life-saving competencies, and essential patient care skills. Tabletop exercises and competency-based training enhance emergency preparedness, interdepartmental coordination, and staff responsiveness. The Quality Cell systematically monitors patient safety and quality indicators through structured surveillance, clinical audits, and quality improvement projects. Performance outcomes are reviewed during Quality Improvement Committee and Management Review Meetings to facilitate evidence-based decisions, strengthen accountability, and sustain improvements. Timely recognition of exemplary contributions fosters staff engagement and promotes a Just Culture grounded in transparency, learning, and continuous improvement.
