Department of Forensic Medicine and Toxicology caters to the jurisdiction of police stations under Kolar, Chikkaballapur, and Bengaluru rural districts of Karnataka and other neighboring districts of Andhra Pradesh and Tamilnadu, which include Police inquest cases, Magistrate inquest cases, and exhumation cases too. We have one mortuary with state-of-the-art facilities located in the hospital premises and are equipped with cold storage facility.
The Department provides medico-legal postmortem services on all days of the week.

Dead Body Cold Storage Services
The department is providing embalming services required for the transportation of dead bodies to faraway places in India and abroad. It is also done to preserve bodies for future dissection/teaching purposes. On rare occasions, the embalming is done on the dead body of an important personality for public view.
The Department provides embalming services on all days of the week.
The department is providing cold storage services required for the preservation of dead bodies when requested by the deceased person’s relatives. The department has cold storage capacity for 4 bodies at a time.
