Treatments and Procedures

The department offers oncological surgical services in head and neck cancers, breast cancers, lung cancers, esophageal and stomach cancers, colorectal cancers, hepatobiliary cancers, soft tissue sarcomas, gynecological cancers and urological cancers. All patients are evaluated in a multidisciplinary clinic (joint clinic) every Friday to formulate the best treatment plan so as to improve outcomes. Patients who are below poverty line (BPL) can avail the Ayushman Bharat Scheme for treatment.

    The following Cancers are catered to:
  • Head and neck cancers: cancers of the buccal mucosa, tongue, larynx, hypopharynx and thyroid
  • Breast cancers: both early and locally advanced breast cancers
  • Lung cancers and mediastinal tumors
  • Gastrointestinal cancers including esophageal and stomach, colorectal and small bowel cancers and hepatobiliary cancers
  • Soft tissue sarcomas and retroperitoneal sarcomas
  • Gynecological cancers involving the ovaries, uterus, cervix and vulva
  • Urological cancers involving kidney, ureter, bladder, prostate and penis.
OPD Services are available

All days (Monday to Saturday) from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. The OPD room is located on the first floor of the OPD building next to the Neurosurgery OPD in the super-speciality complex.

IPD Services are available

IPD services are available. At present, patients are admitted from general surgical and OBG departments into their respective units and are referred for specialist care as per the diagnosis of these patients.

We have modular operation theatres at our disposal making it very convenient for performing major oncological surgeries.
